Marvel at the awe-inspiring landscape of the Dunajec River Gorge from a traditional Polish wooden raft and then explore the haunted fourteenth-century Niedzica Castle before you head back to Krakow.
The tour sets off at 8:30 am on a full-day trip to the Pieniny Mountains on an air-conditioned minibus, in the south of Poland, where the famous Dunajec River Gorge snakes through the numerous peaks, a natural border separating Slovakia and Poland.
Once you get to the Pieniny National Park, the second oldest national park in the world, set sail down the river on a typical wooden raft.
Sit back and sunbathe on the 15km boat ride, which takes between 2 and 3 hours, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of densely forested cliffs and jagged mountain tops in this incomparable part of Poland.
Half way down the river, you will stop to visit the enchanted Niedzica Castle constructed between 1320 and 1326. According to a popular Polish legend, the owner of the building fell in love with an Inca princess in the eighteenth century and their descents have hidden Inca treasures in the castle.
You will be back in Krakow at 5pm.
The journey to Częstochowa does not include a guide, but once you get to the destination the guided tour is exclusively in English.
