Krakow Private Walking Tour

When booking, you can choose between four options. All of them include hotel pickup and an English speaking guide. Check out the specifics of each one below:

Historic Krakow (4 Hours)

During this tour we'll visit Krakow's most historic sights, including the Royal Mile, the most famous street in Krakow, the most important buildings in the city, all the while discovering its history and stories. Some of the places where we will stop are Slowacki Theater, Jagiellonsky University, University Quarter, Market Square, Cloth Market, St. Mary's Basilica, Wawel Hill and Wawel Cathedral, where we will visit its stunning interior.

The walk continues to visit Kazimierz, the best-preserved Jewish quarter in Europe, where Jewish customs and culture have created a unique atmosphere.

Schindler's Factory (2 Hours)

Have you seen the movie? Well, apart from the oscar-winning movie, businessman Oskar Schindler saved the lives of approximately 1,200 Jews in his house and ammunition factories. We will visit the main building, transferred to the Krakow Historical Museum, to investigate the war from 1939 and learn about the occupation and the treatment of the Jewish population.

Schindler's Factory + Jewish Quarter (4 Hours 30 mins)

On this tour, we'll visit the Remuh Synagogue and Cemetery, dating back to the 16th century. This place suffered great damage during the Nazi occupation, but today some Jewish features and the tomb of Rabbi Moses Isserles can be seen thanks to the restoration work.

Then we will walk through the Kazimierz Jewish quarter, where we will see the synagogues, the narrow streets, and the vibrant life of the New Square. Later, we will pass through the Krakow ghetto to learn about the cruelty of the Nazi regime against the Jewish population during the occupation of Poland. And not far away we'll visit Heroes of the Ghetto Square, where giant chair sculptures are erected to honor the people who died in 1943.

We will end the visit with the entrance to Schindler's Factory.

Complete Krakow Tour (8 hours)

First, we will visit the Krakow Market Square, considered the largest medieval square in Europe. Here we can see the great Renaissance building of the Krakow Cloth Hall and St. Mary's Basilica with its two Gothic towers. Next, we will visit the university district and its oldest building: Collegium Maius, dating from the 15th century. Did you know that the famous astronomer Copernicus studied there?

Afterwards, we'll continue with the route to see the Italian-Polish buildings: Palace of the Bishops of Krakow and the Gothic brick basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi. One of the oldest in the city! Then, we will climb Wawel Hill to visit St. Wenceslas Cathedral, an unusual mish-mash of styles and colours, and home to the mausoleum of St. Stanislaus.

Before continuing, we'll leave you an hour of free time to have lunch on your own. We'll then complete the tour with a visit to the Jewish quarter and the entrance to the Shindler Factory.
